Ouran High School Host Club is a Japanese series written and illustrated by Bisco Hatori serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine between September 2002 and November 2010.

As a scholarship student at Ouran Academy named Haruhi Fujioka, Haruhi Fujioka and other members of the famous host club are the focus of the show.

The romantic comedy focuses on the relationships within and outside the Club and satirizes the clichés and stereotypes that persist in shojo manga.

Ouran Academy is an imaginary school for privileged students located in Bunkyo, Tokyo. The series follows Haruhi Fujioka, a scholarship student at Ouran Academy. Haruhi, looking for a peaceful place to study, stumbles onto the abandoned Third Music Room, where the Ouran Academy Host Club, a group of six male students, gathers to entertain female "customers" with sweets and tea.

A highly valuable antique vase is unintentionally knocked over and broken by Haruhi shortly after he stumbles into this group of people. Haruhi is compelled to work as an errand boy for the Host Club in order to pay for the vase that was damaged. After realizing that Haruhi is an excellent host, the group decides to promote her to a full-time host, which will help them pay off the debt faster. One by one, the members find that Haruhi is also a female.

In Ouran, every character was different, but they were all similar in some way. That is to say, each character had a unique personality and was well-developed. They all had the same "crazy-high-class-rich" mentality. A commoner's lifestyle is described in the film, with typical grocery stores, malls, and fast-food restaurants, and the protagonists are enthralled by the idea of living like a commoner. All of them appear to respect Haruhi, despite the fact that he's a commoner to them.

There is a backstory for each character, and it fits well with the anime itself. There are some of the most memorable characters I've seen in a long time in Ouran.

Frequently asked questions

What does Nekozawa love that his sister is afraid of?

The Nekozawa family adores the feline family. Cats are glorified in anime/manga. However, his younger sister, Kirimi, is scared to death of cats and encounters one during the series.

In the anime, how did Tamaki end up finding Haruhi's gender?

When Ayanokoji threw water on Haruhi, Kyoya gave her a spare uniform and told her to get changed. Tamaki walked right into the dressing room without knocking as he was under the impression that she was a guy.

In the manga, Tamaki accidentally dropped Haruhi's wallet and when he picked it up, he happened to see her student ID and realize that she was indeed a girl.

In both cases, he was the last one to find out.
